Everything here is general information. We work hard to keep it accurate, and our fact-check policy explains how, but rules, wage rates and portal links change, sometimes without notice. Always confirm anything that affects your money on the official portal at nrega.dord.gov.in before acting on it.
Schemes change, and this one just did
Rural employment in India moved from MGNREGA to the VB-G RAM G Act on 1 July 2026, with new wage rates issued at the same time. During a change of that size, portals lag, states move at different speeds, and different official pages can briefly disagree with each other. Where we know a detail is still settling, we say so rather than presenting it as final.
No official transactions
We cannot issue job cards, add or remove a name from any list, correct a record, mark attendance, or release a payment. Nobody on this site can. For any official action, use the government portal or your gram panchayat office.
No fees, ever
Applying for a job card, checking a list, tracking a payment and filing a complaint are all free. We never charge for anything, and no government service on this site costs money. If anyone asks you to pay for a job card, to add your name to a list, or to release a payment that is stuck, treat it as a warning sign and complain on the MGNREGA helpline 1800-111-555.
Our tools
The tools on this site help you estimate a figure or draft a letter. They calculate inside your own browser. They do not submit anything to any department, do not change any record, and are not an application of any kind.
