PMAY-G registration: how rural housing applications work

PMAY-G कोई simple form भरने वाली scheme नहीं है। Households मुख्य रूप से official surveys से चुने जाते हैं और Gram Sabha approve करती है। यह समझना ही सबसे अच्छा तरीका है कि आपका परिवार सच में consider हो।

How selection really works
The list of who gets a house is built from official deprivation data and the Awaas Plus survey. Surveyors record eligible households, the data is checked, and the Gram Sabha approves the final list in an open meeting. This is meant to keep the process fair and hard to manipulate.
The Awaas Plus survey
When a fresh survey runs, eligible families that were left out earlier can be added. This often happens through a mobile survey app used by local staff, or a self-survey option where allowed. If a survey is on in your area, make sure your household is recorded.
Documents to keep ready
- Aadhaar of the family members.
- A bank account in the beneficiary's name, linked with Aadhaar.
- Your job card if you have one, since labour days can be linked.
- Any proof of your current housing situation if asked.
There is no charge to be surveyed or added. Treat anyone demanding money to register you as a warning sign and report it.
How to follow up
Visit your gram panchayat and ask whether your household is in the latest survey and what the next step is. If you believe you were wrongly left out, ask about the objection and appeal process, which the scheme provides.
