How to check your status
- Open the official PMAY-G portal and find the beneficiary or status section.
- Enter your registration number, or browse to your panchayat list and open your record.
- Check the sanction status and the instalments marked as released.
- Note the construction stage, since the next instalment depends on it.
How instalments work
The assistance is not paid all at once. It is released in steps as your house reaches set stages, such as the foundation, the lintel and the roof. Each stage is verified, often with a geo-tagged photo through the housing app, before the next instalment is sent.
Money reaches you only if your bank account is active and correctly linked. If an instalment shows as released but has not arrived, check your account and Aadhaar linking first.
